The Cake Tin.
The Cake Tin first came about in 2014 when my lovely friend, Kate, and I set up a small cafe in Malvern. We had a great time and gained a pretty impressive reputation for our vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menu.
During that time I developed a real passion for baking - in particular the fabulous challenge of baking with no dairy and no eggs, and sometimes even no gluten. After Kate and I closed the lid on The Cake Tin Cafe, I knew I had to find a way to keep baking, and when a friend complained that she could never get good vegan cake in our local independent coffee shop I started making a few cakes to supplement their counter. And Ta dah... The Cake Tin cake company was born. From humble beginnings the birthday cake orders started, then a few wedding cakes, Christenings, anniversaries, baby showers, hen parties, you name it. What a joy. It was as if the world was just waiting for me to get my apron back on!
And now here I am 4 years later, still doing what I love; making cake that makes people smile.
